The radeon r9 fury x also features the nasty whine coil
As most of you may already know, the Radeon R9 Fury X was recently launched and it wasn't long before the recent owners of the new Sunnyvale flagship detected that their brand new video card features the annoying and unpleasant Coil Whine, plus of noise from the liquid cooling system coming from the pump even in idle load situations . Although this problem of the Coil Whine, has been happening in different models of both AMD and Nvidia for a long time, it is well known at this point that it is certainly not a failure that can affect the performance of the card (although many choose for claiming RMA), but rather that it is an evil whose worst characteristic is the annoying noise ("screeching").
Generally the noise by Coil Whine is generated in an immobile electronic component, which begins to vibrate under load, usually it is the shock coils that begin to vibrate and emit said noise. The issue in all this is the use of poor quality shock coils that undergo load this problem that users suggest so much; but to make matters worse, in this new Radeon R9 Fury X, the thing is not only there, but to complete the orchestra, the water pump is quite noisy too.
The reported cases have shown that not only is the problem serious when the card is under load, but that the Coil Whine exists even when the card is idle, something not too common which is a faithful sample of the poor quality of the shock coils.
In my personal opinion, I find it regrettable that in the case of a "high end" product, the price of which is a great effort for the buyer, it brings such problems. In theory, these are proven products that do not go green for sale and that should have the highest quality materials and components. Coil Whine under rest is unacceptable.
