What appears to be a new line of Radeon RX 500X graphics cards has been spotted on AMD's official website. A week ago there were rumors about this new series of Radeon 500X graphics cards and in the last few hours it seems that it is being confirmed, although the red company has not yet said anything about it.
Radeon RX 500X featured on AMD website
In September last year, the company announced that this year it would introduce the first GPUs based on a 12nm process from Globalfoundries and the Vega architecture. However, information about this impending update decreased as we began the new year. In fact, no mention was ever made of the 12nm update during the company's latest roadmap reveal at CES (held in January).
Apparently , AMD's intention would be to get the most out of the mid-range graphics card with the 500X series, surely with lower consumption and higher frequencies. It is well known that the graphics cards that sell the most at AMD are those of the 400 and 500 series, which compete in the mid-range sector, so a soft drink would not hurt them at all.
AMD is being very secretive about its plans for desktop graphics cards for this year. However, as summer approaches and NVIDIA prepares for the debut of the “ Turing ” GeForce 11 series, the red team will not want to sit idly by.
