Gigabyte X299 Aorus Master for the new Intel Core X 9000

Gigabyte X299 Aorus Master arrives to put back on the table a HEDT platform that we already thought was all seen. This new model comes to stand above the X299 Aorus Gaming 9 and Designare-EX, which until now have been the brand's flagships. Gigabyte X299 Aorus Master ships with factory support for Core X 9000-series processors. It is a wider board than ATX models, although it is not entirely E-ATX.

It draws the power it needs to run from a combination of a 24-pin ATX connector, two 8-pin EPS, and optional 6-pin PCIe power. All this in the service of a 12-phase VRM that powers the CPU perfectly, even under demanding overclocking, thanks to the fact that it is cooled by a 2-stage heatsink. The graphics card expansion slots include four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (x16 / NC / x16 / NC or x16 / NC / x8 / x8 or x8 / x8 / x8 / x8) with metal reinforcement.

Storage connectivity includes three M.2 slots with PCI-Express 3.0 x4 cabling, each with heatsinks, and eight SATA 6Gbp s ports. The network includes a 2.5 GbE wired interface controlled by the Realtek Dragon 8125AG controller, a 1 GbE interface controlled by the Intel i219-V controller, and an 802.11 ac + Bluetooth 5 interface controlled by the Intel 9260 WLAN card. The integrated sound card is based on an ESS Saber 9218 DAC (130 dBA SNR), with OPAMP OPA2111KP by Ti Burr Brown, and WIMA capacitors, all together with the Realtek ALC1220VB 120 dBA SNR chip.

The rest of its features include dual BIOS, 7-segment POST code reading, USB flash-back and a host of other features supported by overclockers. It is expected for a price of about $ 399.
