The photo storage and management service Google Photos continues to improve with new features and now it does so incorporating new tools to share photos and albums with our friends and family that are already available to all users of the service.

You can now share collections in Google Photos

During the last Google I / O 2017 developer conference, the technology giant announced the upcoming arrival of new tools to share photos and complete albums with our contacts. Now these functions are already available to all users of the platform, both in the iOS and Android applications and in its web version, as reported by the company on its official blog.

The first of the new features are automatic suggestions to share. Google Photos, using machine learning, will identify images and propose which contacts we can share them with. All our sharing activity will be visible from the new “Share” tab (located at the bottom right of the screen).

As part of this new feature, it is highlighted that if one of our contacts appears in one of our events and starts using Google Photos, the service will send you a notification to also upload your photos, so that they will be available to both of you.

The second novelty is Shared Collections. From the "share" option of an album we can share with our contacts the entire collection or only certain photos, including the selection of images from a certain day. From that moment, as long as the guest accepts the invitation, all the new images and videos that we upload to that album will be instantly shared with our contact.

In addition, the photos of the shared collections will be as their own for the person with whom we have shared them, that is, they will appear in their videos and collages, they can be searched for, etc.
