The latest version of the Intel Graphics drivers, which feature the Graphics Command Center application, hide some secrets in their installation files. The INF file references more than a dozen variants of the next-gen Gen11 graphics architecture.

Gen11 will be present in Ice Lake and Lakefield processors

Intel will implement Gen11 in two key processor microarchitectures, "Ice Lake" and "Lakefield", although later, graphics technology could also reach the low-power Pentium Silver and Celeron lines, with silicon-based chips "Elkhart Lake".

Based on what we deduce from the INF file of the latest Intel drivers, there are 13 Gen11 variants in “Ice Lake”, created using Execution Unit (EU) and aggressive LP (Low Power) management. The main "Ice Lake" -based desktop processors, which are the least restricted in power management, get the most powerful variants of Gen11 under the Iris Plus brand. Iris Plus Graphics 950 is the most powerful iGPU, with 64 EUs enabled, and higher clock speeds. This variant could appear in the series of Core i7 and Core i9 processors derived from "Ice Lake".

Iris Plus Graphics 940 has the same EU number, but probably with lower clock speeds, which could appear across the full range of Core i5 processors. The Iris Plus 930 comes in two trims based on the EU number, 64 and 48, and could probably be extended through the Core i3 line. Finally, there is the Iris Plus 920 with 32 EUs, which can be found in Pentium Gold processors. There are several 'SKUs' with the brand “UHD Graphics Gen11 LP”, with UEs ranging from 32 to 64.

It seems that Intel's new graphics architecture is very close to materializing with all the information that has been emerging this week. We will keep you in detail.
