Flexible oled displays outperform rigid ones

What is clear is that with each passing day a new manufacturer wants to experiment with flexible OLED displays. This has already been done by Samsung using flexible OLED curved panels at its top of the range, but everything indicates that this trend will continue to be stronger than rigid panels.
If we focus on data and revenue, we have that flexible OLED panel revenue could reach $ 3.2 billion in Q3 2017. On the other hand, revenues from rigid OLED panels would remain at 3 billion. This difference and victory would occur for the first time in history.
But it is seen to be a trend that will continue to rise, because as stated by Jerry Kang, from SU Markit, more and more manufacturers are betting on this new technology, with flexible AMOLED panels. The costs of flexible OLED displays are also higher because it is trending now, but you never know how its value could be in a few years.
Samsung is satisfied with the results of its curved screens, they are standard right now. And even Apple could show it to users on iPhone, betting on a curved screen.
Still a long way to go to see phones with real flexible screens, a year or more, but what is clear is that there is no doubt that flexible panels will eat up the rigid ones.
