The new DDR4 memories are almost ready and ready to become the focus of all eyes. These were some of the high-end innovations that the Corsair boys showed us at the Computex 2014 fair. Computex is a fair that takes place once a year. The event took place from June 3 to June 7. Most of the technology's products and announcements have been made, as usual on the first day. Some even arrived before the fair even started. In this case we see how Corsair announces some characteristics about its memory modules. These are already linked to the new high-performance platforms Intel HEDT (High-End Desktop), with " Haswell-E " processors, and motherboards with x99 chipset.
We also know that they will have a minimum energy consumption when working (1.2 v.) Compared to an increase in the density of the modules (16 Gb) leaving behind the DDR3 (they only reach 8Gb). Of course, its bandwidth also measures up to 35-40 Gb / s from the 25 Gb / s of DDR3.
Corsair Dominator platinum DDR4
The Dominator Platinum DDR4 memory module is part of a 16GB kit, but that doesn't mean it has 8GB in itself. It is a 4 GB module that is supposed to be installed in the four channel mode. This is somewhat erratic on some smaller, normal motherboards (they have two DIMM slots, usually), but it works on server motherboards, especially dual-socket ones.

But keep in mind that, without overclocking, DDR3 comes in 1066 MHz, 1333 MHz, or 1600 MHz, and needs 1.35V or 1.5V, 1.65V. This line called Valueselect will be more profitable financially, since it will not have as much power as the Dominator Platinum line. We'll start seeing them anyway when the X99 motherboards start coming out. (Intel HEDT platform).
