Table of contents:
For weeks it has been speculated that LG is having many problems with its new high-end phone, the LG G7. In fact, a week ago it was rumored that the company's CEO has asked to redo the phone from scratch. Something that has not been confirmed, but that highlights the problems of the company. Now, a new problem is added. Since the LG G7 will not be presented during MWC 2018 in Barcelona.
LG will not present the LG G7 at MWC 2018
The popular phone event kicks off at the end of February. From February 26 to March 1 specifically. The main brands take advantage of these days to present their new smartphones. But, it seems that LG will not use this event to present its new high-end.
Problems for LG
The company has changed plans. So this new device will not be known at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Instead, the Korean multinational will present an improved version of the LG V30. Although it is a phone that can be interesting, it does not have the same impact. So it will not generate the same expectation. Definitely a disappointing decision. But, we don't know the reasons behind it.
For a while now, the company's telephone division has been experiencing bad times. Therefore, they are going to launch fewer phones to the market, to stop competing with companies like Samsung. Now the delay in launching its high-end once again shows the problems within the company.
LG has not commented on this yet. So we will be watching in the coming weeks to see if anything more is known about the company's plans for 2018.
