The bq aquaris e4.5 ubuntu edition arrives

Anonim

The Spanish company BQ has officially presented its new BQ Aquaris E4.5 smartphone with the Ubuntu Touch operating system, keeping the rest of the specifications the same as the model with the Android system.

Thus we are faced with a smartphone with dimensions of 137 x 67 x 9 mm that integrates a 4.5-inch IPS screen and a qHD resolution of 540 × 960 pixels resulting in a density of 244 ppi. Inside is a modest MediaTek MTK 6582 processor consisting of four 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 cores and the Mali-400MP GPU. Accompanying the processor we find 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal storage.

Its specifications are completed with a 2150 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n connectivity, Bluetooth® 4.0, 2G GSM (850/900/1800/1900), 3G HSPA + (900/2100), GPS and A- GPS.

A device that does not particularly attract attention due to its specifications but that has the charm of arriving with a new and young operating system based on the desktop version of Ubuntu but adapted to work on a Smartphone. It will be interesting to see its benefits and if it manages to capture the attention of application developers, something that will not be easy with the current Android domain and seeing what it costs Windows Phone to open a gap.

It will be available to buy in the coming days for a price of approximately 169.90 euros.
