Geforce gtx 980m and 970m arrive
After the launch of the new GeForce GTX 980 and 970 desktop by Nvidia, there has been speculation about the specifications of their variants for notebooks and now they are finally officially announced.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M mounts a GM204 GPU with a total of 12 SMXs for a total of 1, 536 CUDA Cores at base reference frequencies of 1, 038 that go up to 1, 127 MHz in turbo mode. The GPU is accompanied by 4/8 GB of 5012 MHz GDDR5 VRAM and attached to a 256-bit interface giving a bandwidth of 160 GB / s.
For its part, the GTX 970M reduces its characteristics to 10 SMX adding a total of 1280 CUDA Cores at a base frequency of 920 MHz (turbo mode is not known) and 3/6 GB of VRAM GDDR5 at 5012 MHz attached to an interface of 192 bits giving a bandwidth of 120 GB / s.
