The Microsoft Build 2017 event has already ended and we have been able to witness many announcements during the great keynotes of the first two days, some more important than others.

In case you have missed something, in this post we are going to introduce you to some of the main things we have found out in Build 2017.

Fluent Design is coming to Windows 10 soon

One of the biggest announcements in Build 2017 is the new design language for Windows 10. Originally developed under the code name of Project Neon, Microsoft's new design language is called the Fluent Design System and will be coming to Windows 10 throughout the next versions, although its implementation will take several years to complete.

The implementation of Fluent Design started with the Creators Update, and will continue with the upcoming Fall Creators Update this fall, as well as the Redstone 4 and Redstone 5 updates throughout 2018.

Microsoft Edge will not be available in the Store

Although at first it seemed like it did, Microsoft said during its Build 2017 keynote that the Edge web browser will not hit the Windows Store with the upcoming Fall Creators Update. It's a real shame, since the presence of Microsoft Edge in the Windows Store would have allowed the company to update the browser more quickly, at least with new features.

Unlike Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, Microsoft Edge only receives two major updates a year, along with every new version of Windows 10. Meanwhile, Google updates its Chrome browser every two by three.

Microsoft takes mobile platforms more seriously

If you're an iOS, Android, or even Windows 10 Mobile user, Microsoft said it will try to offer more mobile-oriented features in Windows 10 for PC.

Build 2018 will be held in Seattle

Next year's Build conference will also take place in Seattle, specifically at the Washington State Convention Center, just like this year.
