The mobile payment system is increasingly established among the population. In fact, there are already several existing platforms in our country, such as Android Pay, Bizum or Samsung Pay and, of course, Apple Pay, which is gradually expanding its coverage with new banks, savings banks and credit institutions. The next to join will be ING, whose confirmation comes directly from the Cupertino company itself.

ING and Apple Pay: coming soon

Several years have passed since the Apple Pay mobile payment system landed in Spain. He did so timidly, with strong reluctance, rather resistance, from the banking sector, which saw his position threatened. In fact, during the first year of validity at our borders, only Banco Santander and Carrefour Pass customers were able to start making their daily purchases using the iPhone or Apple Watch as a payment instrument.

And although it is true that the expansion of Apple Pay is characterized by a slow pace, there are already many compatible entities: BBVA, boon., Bankia, Caixa Bank, Evo Bank, OpenBank, Caja Rural, Pibank and many others. Now, a new actor takes the stage, while the delay is surprising, given its importance in the Spanish financial scene. This is ING, whose "orange" customers will soon be able to link their credit and debit cards to Apple Pay.

As we can see by taking a simple look at the website of Apple Pay Spain, "soon" this service will be compatible with ING, which, probably, could give an important boost to the bitten apple platform.

Unfortunately, we do not know when that event will occur. Even more so considering that another bank, Banco Mediolanum, has been anchored in that same state of "coming soon" for months.
