It seems like next year we could experience one of the biggest transformations of iPad Pro models since they made their official appearance a couple of years ago now in their larger format. What's new for the Apple tablet, as expected, will come not only in the form of a new design, but also new components, new features, and increased performance and speed.
The fastest iPad Pro
If just a few days ago we told you that the next iPad Pro models will bring a new design, with much narrower frames, disappearance of the fingerprint reader or Touch ID, and incorporation of 3D facial recognition or Face ID technology that We have already been able to see the premiere in the current iPhone X models, now there are also rumors about the news that these new tablets designed by those of the bitten apple will incorporate inside and thanks to which they will be much faster and more powerful.
According to information published by the China-based website MyDrivers, the next-generation iPad Pro models that will be released by Apple to the market sometime next year 2018 will feature octa-core processors, created following the manufacturing process. 7nm battery from Taiwanese supplier TSMC (Taiwan SemiConductor).
Citing sources in Apple's supply chain, MyDrivers notes that the eight cores included in the A11X chip (tentative name) will include three high-performance "Monsoon" cores and five energy-efficient "Mistral" cores.
Like the Bionic A11 chip of the latest iPhone models, which is based on a 10-nanometer process, the A11X chip will feature a similar mounting system, and will include a next-generation M11 coprocessor and a "neural motor" for artificial intelligence tasks, such as facial recognition processing of the Face ID feature that could be included in 2018 models.
Thus, the inclusion of this eight-core processor should result in noticeable improvements in CPU performance on next-generation iPad Pro models. Apple's current 10.5- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models feature an A10X Fusion chip based on TSCM's 10nm manufacturing process.
