Custom models of the rx 5700 series would arrive in August

The AMD RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT will launch on July 7 (7/7), but unfortunately, it appears that the AMD team will only be able to sell their reference graphics cards on launch day, with custom variants coming their way one month after.

AMD RX 5700 will only have reference models at launch

The sources claim that there will be only reference models in stock when the RX 5700 series comes out, a situation that would last for a month, until the different manufacturers can offer their custom models, which are, in short, the most sold in the stores.

This makes AMD's Navi launch just for reference, with custom designs coming from partners like ASUS, MSI, Sapphire, among others, in mid-August.

Unfortunately, users who bet on Navi since its launch will have to stick to AMD's benchmark solution for cooling, which will certainly be seen as a bad thing in the eyes of consumers. At launch, the biggest customizations consumers will likely see are a change to boxart and the addition of a brand sticker to their graphics card, as is common with launch day products.

While Navi is touted to be much more efficient than Polaris and Vega, AMD's use of a blower-type cooling solution will be seen as a disadvantage to many, but luckily the cooler looks very similar to what is used with the RX. Vega 56/64. Given Navi's increased efficiency, a cooling solution similar to RX Vega will likely require slower fan speeds to keep Navi cool, which is good news at that point.

After the launch, the different personalized models of the different brands will probably be filtered.
