Radeon VII is already available starting today and we keep wondering when we will be able to see the first custom models, already classics from the usual AMD manufacturers and partners.

AMD Ensures Partners Have Full Freedom to Create Custom Radeon VII Models

AMD's new graphics card based on the VEGA architecture is a reality, but the launch is not having the strength that many expected. First of all, Radeon VII is arriving in very limited quantities to stores, it is said that for Spain only 20 units have been shipped, and in the rest of Europe the situation is not very different. Secondly, the graphics card is coming in all cases with the reference design and there is no custom model at launch.

At this time, no manufacturer has announced whether to release a custom Radeon VII model, but AMD is opening up that possibility with its latest statements.

AMD makes it clear

"Our AIB partners are free to develop modified versions to meet customer needs."

AMD's statement opens the door to the possibility of Radeon VII custom graphics cards in the near future, though for now, it doesn't appear that any major graphics card manufacturer is eager to sell an unreferenced version of the first 7-graphics card. nm from AMD. Notably, both AsRock and MSI decided not to create custom versions of AMD's Radeon RX Vega series at the time.

Anyway, one last information came out at the end of January, which told us that PowerColor was preparing a custom model, although it was not announced yet. We will keep you informed.
