The latest edition of Nintendo Direct has been loaded with news about new titles, ports and remakes previously announced, but that does not mean that no new games have been announced. Nintendo briefly announced three all-new titles during the unveiling, all of which will come sometime in 2019.
The last Nintendo Direct has left us some surprises
The presentation started with a teaser for Luigi's Mansion 3, which some may have been waiting for as the company is redoing the original Nintendo 3DS title. This will be the first new game in the series since Luigi's Mansion 2 released on 3DS in 2012. Not much more information was provided.

Additionally, Nintendo announced a new entry in the Animal Crossing series, marking the franchise's debut on the Switch, as well as the first release since Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. The game does not yet have a title, so it will probably come later in the year.
Rounding out the main announcements for next year is Town, a title developed by Game Freak, the company behind the main titles of the Pokémon franchise. It is an RPG about a once peaceful village that has suddenly been invaded by monsters, which the player will have to defeat to protect people. Aside from the synopsis of the shooting plot, all that is known about the game is that everything happens within the town limits.
It looks like 2019 could be a great year for Nintendo's hybrid console, as all of these titles join a new game in the main Pokémon series, as well as Yoshi's Crafted World.
