Macos high sierra officially launches on September 25

Apple has not only taken advantage of the day to announce the new iPhones that it is going to launch in the coming weeks, it has also made official the launch date for the new macOS High Sierra, with the slogan "Your Mac. At the top".

The date set for macOS High Sierra will be September 25, closer than everyone was thinking. Apple's website has been updated with the final release date.

Apple is known to be putting special emphasis on improving overall system speed, and with the new APFS file system boot speeds have increased, shortening wait times. This was already present in iOS since version 10.3, now it makes the jump to macOS.

The apple company is also natively adding the HEVC and HEIF video formats, which dramatically improve video compression rates without impacting quality, higher-quality videos at lower weight, hitting macOS High Sierra, iOS 11.

Another notable aspect is the implementation of Metal 2 to improve the use of the graphics card in macOS High Sierra, increasing performance in games, at least that they promise.
