The Mars Gaming MGL3 are presented in a cardboard box with a predominance of black as we see in the previous images. On the front, the brand logo and an image of the glasses appear as well as some of their characteristics, they also warn us not to use the Mars Gaming MGL3 as sunglasses.

On the back we find an explanation of the operation of the product, the Mars Gaming MGL3 serve to protect our eyes when we are in front of the screen, its operation is to reduce the amount of blue light that reaches our eyes from the screen.

Blue light is harmful to our eyes causing dryness, tired eyesight and in very extreme cases it can cause serious illnesses such as macular degeneration and vision loss.

We open the box and we find a black case like the one that usually accompanies sunglasses when we buy them. We see some details such as the logo of the brand in white and a carabiner so that we can carry the glasses with us in a more comfortable way, although since they are not valid as sunglasses, we will hardly take them out of our house much.

Focusing our attention on the Mars Gaming MGL3 we find glasses that look very similar to sunglasses with a black plastic frame and also plastic lenses tinted yellow and which are responsible for filtering the blue light coming from from the screen.

We approach the lens and we see a slot that will serve to couple the Mars Gaming MGL3 prescription glasses so that users who wear prescription glasses can use the MGL3 and their prescription glasses at the same time.

This slot is occupied by a plastic piece in which we can attach prescription lenses if needed. In this aspect I want to highlight that I have been able to superimpose the MGL3 over my prescription glasses, something more practical than putting prescription lenses on the aforementioned plastic piece. However, if your prescription glasses are very large you will not be able to superimpose them and the only option will be to attach a prescription lens to the plastic piece. We can also choose to buy the Mars Gaming MGL2 that does allow you to attach prescription glasses.

We remove the aforementioned plastic piece and see the lenses in all their glory with their characteristic yellow tint and the Mars Gaming logo printed on the left lens. We also see the plastic temples that rest on our nose to make the use of the Mars Gaming MGL3 more comfortable.

User experience

After several days using the Mars Gaming MGL3 I can affirm that they fulfill their function of protecting the eyes from blue light, when wearing them you notice less fatigue after several hours in front of the screen, something that is appreciated.

What does not convince me is the yellow tint of the lenses that I see excessive, Mars Gaming says that it helps to improve the contrast in video games but personally it seems to me that it is excessive, perhaps a lighter yellow would have been better. I notice an excessive alteration of colors, both when playing and when working.

What I really liked is the comfort offered by the glasses, they really are very comfortable to wear and you hardly even know, at this point I think that Mars Gaming has really done a very good job.

The Mars Gaming MGL3 are a highly recommended accessory for users who spend several hours in front of the screen on a daily basis. For a price of approximately 23 euros we obtain good protection for our eyes against the harmful blue light, reducing eyestrain and possible headaches.

The glasses are very comfortable to wear and offer enough space to put them over the prescription glasses in the case of users who need them, at least as long as the lenses of the prescription glasses are not excessively large.
