Mars gaming msb1 review

The measures that the speaker has and that we can find in its specifications (110x81x66 mm) are quite small. Similar to the mobile speakers that boomed a few years ago but without having anything to do with the power of the MSB1.
On the other hand, the weight is not as light as one would like, but it is understandable that when integrating 2 active and 2 passive speakers, it is increased and, of course, its almost 300gr is not noticeable.
The finish of the device on the sides has a matte black finish and on the back are the on / off button, the micro USB input to supply power and the 3.5mm Jack input.
The upper part has a glossy black finish and where we will find the touch controls that light up red when touching the surface: Go to the previous or next song, pause and play / answer and end call, increase and decrease volume and finally a More control to manually pair with Bluetooth. In theory it is a good idea and it is appreciated, but in practice it does not completely convince. In sunny surroundings for example, it is barely visible and indoors, it is almost necessary to pick up the speaker or look at it from above to intuit where the controls are. The answer is not perfect either and it is assimilated to a resistive tactile. However, most people will use more of the device controls that connect to it.
At the bottom highlight the small legs so that they do not slip on slightly inclined surfaces.

We appreciate the trust in Mars Gaming for the transfer of the product for analysis:

Connectivity and sound
Bluetooth pairing is fast and the speaker is detected in a matter of seconds. The touch control comes in handy if we want to unpair and pair another device.
The other pairing method for the Smartphone that supports it is by NFC, just touch the MSB1 (in my case from the bottom) to pair instantly and without asking for a password.
The range of the Bluetooth is more or less about 20m. the tests carried out without obstacles are disparate, in most cases the sound has remained unchanged at 15m and on rare occasions it has been choppy at 3m. I don't know why this is. With obstacles in between the distance is reduced a few meters. In any case, the sound quality at these distances is still very good.
The MSB1 also incorporates a noise-canceling microphone, and it's a function that does its job quite well even if it's not great and can help those who are also looking for a hands-free decision.
The first time the MSB1 is used, its sound quality and power are surprising. Quality with respect to the more or less sharp output that the speaker offers in terms of its benefits including turning the volume up to the maximum. Obviously, the quality of the content reproduced will also have a greater or lesser impact. The passive speakers that the device has provide a good level of bass that provides more sound.
The 8W of power is one of the strengths of the MSB1. In the tests carried out, this power surprised both us and our acquaintances. This is enough to give an idea of what gives of itself at its highest volume level, especially in interior rooms and without distorting excessively.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Keep Out XGM22 Review in Spanish (Complete Analysis)Autonomy
The brand ensures about 10 hours of autonomy in playback, although in our tests by Bluetooth it was about 6 and a half hours, and by cable about 8 and a half hours. Certainly more than enough. In standby mode, such as hands-free for example, its duration is increased by about 40 hours.
conclusion
Undoubtedly the quality and power of this speaker, together with its different connectivity options and its hands-free function make the MSB1 a great option to consider for both players and non-players. It can be found around € 40.
