The best Chinese smartphones of 2020
Chinese smartphone manufacturers have greatly improved their quality in recent years, which is why the main brands have almost nothing to envy the big manufacturers like Samsung or Apple, and all this at prices that become half or even less. Despite this, not all Chinese mobiles are a good choice, that's why we have made this guide with the terminals that will not disappoint you.

Honor 20 pro
Huawei's cheap brand is also going strong with these Honor 20 series. An increasingly complete manufacturer that competes directly in the high-end in this 20 Pro. They name their design as Holograph Design, which translates into glass finishes for the rear and metal for the sides. Its multiple rear layers make the reflected light take a quite peculiar and elegant effect, with versions in dark violet and turquoise green. The measures of the terminal are 154.6x74x8.4 mm weighing 182 grams, with a fairly compact size and that feels great in the hand.
On the main face we have a design similar to the rest of this series, for example, the View 20 that we will see now, since a small and discreet hole in the left side of the screen has been used to avoid notch on the camera. Its screen is a 6.26-inch TLPS (IPS) LCD with a resolution of 2340x1080p and good brightness, although without HDR support. The useful surface is 84%. Curiously, they have opted for a fingerprint reader on the right side, which we think is a little more uncomfortable than the back but that works well. Face recognition is the basic of Android.
And all this is accompanied by hardware consisting of a 2.6 GHz Kirin 980 Octa-Core along with Mali G76 GPU with acceleration in graphics, and 8 GB of RAM memory is similar hardware to the Huawei P30 Pro even with more RAM. In addition, we have a 256 GB storage of UFS 2.1 type without the possibility of expansion. All this is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 22W fast charge with a known autonomy of about 8h of screen and 2 days with normal use. It also does not give up NFC connectivity, although we do lose the 3.5mm Jack.
The camera section is at a fairly good level and almost on par with its Huawei flagship cousins, with a configuration of 4 rear cameras and one front: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 16 MP wide angle with 117 or, 8 MP telephoto lens with x3 zoom and 2 MP macro. We have versatility and our own high-end level almost identical to the Huawei P30 Pro in all kinds of conditions, little more can you ask for. The selfie is 32 MP and also at the same level.
- IPS screen 6.26 inches 2, 340 x 1, 080 pixels and 84% of useful surface KIRIN 980 processor + 8 GB of RAM Storage 256 GB Finished in glass and aluminum Very Premium Excellent performances of its quad rear camera and selfi with great versatility 4000 mAh battery
- No Jack connector No IPx protection Side fingerprint sensor somewhat uncomfortable
Honor View 20
We lowered the bar of pure benefits a little with this View 20 from Honor, a mid-range or Premium medium par excellence very round. Starting with the design, we have some glass finishes on the back and metal on the edges, with blue, black and red versions with a very striking "V" effect when the light falls on it. Like its high-end sibling, the 20 Pro, it has inherited the on-screen hole at the same location, bringing the usable area up to 85%. In this way we have measures of 75.4x157x8.1 mm with a weight of 180 g.
The screen that has been mounted is also a 6.4-inch IPS LCD type with 2310x1080p resolution. It is the same technology as the 20 Pro but a lower resolution and overall quality so to speak. This hole for the front camera is located at the top left in a discreet and original way. Connectivity consists of a USB-C at the bottom, a 3.5mm jack at the top and also an integrated NFC. All this is accompanied by a fingerprint sensor, this time high performance rear.
We now continue with the hardware, which is practically the same as the 20 Pro, with the KIRIN 980 CPU logically manufactured by Huawei with 8 cores and the Mali G76 GPU. Along with them, a configuration of 6 and 8 GB of RAM, with 128 or 256 GB of storage, which is also not expandable. So we have a wider range to choose from. Its battery is 4000 mAh with fast charge of only 10W and a duration similar to other terminals as is logical.
The operating system we have is Android 9 with integrated Google services, and there is already an update to version 10. The layer used is a variant of Huawei's own called Magic UI 2.0, which is practically the same. We finish with the cameras where we have: a main 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a ToF 3D depth sensor at the back, and at the front a 25 MP sensor. The overall performance is very good in good light conditions, although it is processing poor in difficult conditions and portrait mode, not being as optimized as in the 20 Pro. It records in 4K @ 30 FPS and has interesting effects in real time thanks to the ToF sensor.
- IPS screen 6.4 inches 2310 x 1080 pixels KIRIN 980 Octa-core processor with 6/8 GB of RAM 128/256 GB UFS storage 2.1 Good camera performance and interesting ToF sensor for depth and effects 4000 mAh battery Upgrade to Android 10 and Google services Crystal and metal design Good connectivity with NFC and 3.5mm jack
- Non-expandable storage Very low fast charge Little versatility in the cameras Without IPx protection
OnePlus 7T pro
The OnePlus 7T Pro is another of the Chinese Smartphone that we must recommend both in this list and in the high-end one, as it is one of the roundest that the manufacturer has launched. The Pro came out before the regular 7T, so we see a somewhat more conservative design with a vertically row camera arrangement slightly off the plane, on a very elegant and sober blue glass finish. In front we have a curved screen design on the sides and a retractable front camera that elevates the useful surface to 88%, bordering on that desired 90%. Too bad we don't have IPX protection.
Continuing with the screen, we have an AMOLED panel of no less than 6.67 inches and a resolution of 3120x1440p that works at 90 Hz with HDR10 +. It is a screen very similar to that of the 7T, although a little earlier and therefore has a lower maximum brightness, but with HDR10 +. Under this screen we have one of the fastest fingerprint readers on the market, and a facial recognition system in the camera that is obviously somewhat slower because it is retractable. The sound section is at a great level with Dolby Atmos, although without a 3.5 mm Jack. NFC we do have as is normal in a high range.
This Pro version mounts the maximum hardware configuration, with a Snapdragon 855+ with Adreno 640 and two RAM memory configurations, 8 GB for a normal version and 12 GB for another more exclusive version with the McLaren seal. Of course, we only have a 256 GB configuration of UFS 3.0 storage available and without the possibility of expansion. The 4085 mAh battery will give us extensive autonomy, with 30W fast charging but no wireless charging, something that the competition does.
We now turn to the cameras section, where a triple rear sensor and a front one have been installed: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main, 8 MP telephoto lens with x3 zoom and 16 MP at 120 ° wide angle. We have without a doubt a great versatility, and the novelty of being able to take photos at 2.5 cm with the super macro function by AI. For the selfie we have a 16 MP sensor. OnePlus is not at the level of quality of the IPhone, Pixel or Huawei, but it is very close and just behind.
- 6.67-inch AMOLED screen 3120 x 1440 pixels at 90 Hz Snapdragon 855+ processor together with 8 GB of RAM Very versatile triple camera with digital macro, x3 zoom and good performance in all environments High-performance biometric systems, especially the footprint Elegant design and in glass retractable system Oxygen 10 Capa over Android 10, of the best TOP Performance as always 4085 mAh battery
- Non-expandable storage Does not have a 3.5 Jack Jack Little news compared to the 7 Pro Without IPX protection
Oppo Reno 2Z
Oppo has undoubtedly been one of the Chinese manufacturers that has done the best in 2019, presenting phones with brutal aesthetics and very good benefits. And we also have material for the mid / high range such as this Reno 2Z, a variant of the Reno 2 with a Pop-up camera and some very good finishes in glass and metal. It is available in 3 colors, black, blue and rose gold, with a few worked glitter effects around the central part where we have the camera panel. One of the few terminals where they do not protrude, and to avoid friction a ball has been placed on the rear surface.
As for measurements, it is not excessively large, with 75.8 × 161.8 × 8.7 mm although it is heavy, with 195 g. A 6.5-inch screen with AMOLED On-Cell technology has been installed that delivers a resolution of 2340x1080p with 450 nits of brightness with HDR. Its useful surface is no less than 91%, with very well adjusted edges and not even requiring a lateral curved screen for it. This configuration is accompanied by a really fast fingerprint reader and facial recognition inherited as not from OnePlus, for being its secondary brand so to speak. Finally to mention that we have a 3.5 mm jack but not NFC, being a significant loss.
Regarding hardware, we have a pretty good configuration, although with a somewhat less desired CPU by the community. It is a MediaTek Helio P90 Octa-core 2.2 GHz, with an IMG PowerVR GM9446 GPU. Next to it we have 8 GB of RAM and two versions of storage of 128 and 256 GB, this time expandable with MicroSD. Although it is less "extensive" hardware than Snapdragon, the performance is high-end, and games run very well on it, although not with the constant fluidity of a Qualcomm, and that must be recognized. The battery of course, had to be 4000 mAh and with a 20W fast charge quite good and with a good level autonomy.
From the factory it comes with Android 9, but there is already an update to Android 10 with ColorOS 7, a layer that is evolving quite fast, very customizable. And we finish with the cameras, with 4 rear sensors and one front: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main, 8 MP to 119 ° wide angle, 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP monochrome sensor that performs the function of optical zoom x2, hybrid x5 and digital x20. To this we add the 16 MP front. We have great versatility and very good results in almost any condition, being the best in terms of quality / price.
- 6.5-inch 2340 x 1080 pixels AMOLED On-Cell display Helio P90 Octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM 128 and 256GB storage with MicroSD expansion 4000 mAh battery with 20W fast charge Exquisite design, built in metal and glass Cameras versatile and very good performance Retractable camera system and 3.5mm Jack
- MediaTek processor somewhat less optimized in games Without IPx protection We do not have NFC
Oppo Reno 2
And other of the most beautiful terminals of this 2019 was the Oppo Reno 2, also one of the first to incorporate a very original retractable system for the front camera and in the form of a rotating tab as seen in the image. Its construction uses glass and metal with a color palette of black, blue and rose gold. Its central area with cameras and hallmarks of the brand is a success in terms of its aesthetics, since they do not protrude from the surface.
The screen it mounts is 6.5 inches with AMOLED On-Cell technology and 2400 x 1080p resolution with a huge 1, 400, 000: 1 contrast and HDR support. The useful surface available is 85%, having very well adjusted frames and excellent color quality and at the level of the high range to which it belongs. The sound system consists of a single Dolby Atmos compatible speaker with 3.5mm Jack and also NFC connectivity.
The hardware in this case consists of a Snapdragon 730 and Adreno 618 GPU. We only have a RAM and storage configuration that consists of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage with the possibility of expansion with MicroSD memories. To this we add a 4000 mAh battery with 20W fast charge. This hardware is more than enough to move practically any current AAA game under Android 9.0, we already know that Snapdragon is always a guarantee of success.
And in the camera section it was also a benchmark for the competition in its output, with no less than 4 rear sensors and one front: a 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 8 MP wide angle with 116 or field of view, 13 MP telephoto lens with x3 zoom, hybrid x5 and digital x20 of the best we can find in quality, and finally a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait mode. In front we have a 16 MP for selfi. The versatility benefits are great, and the quality in all kinds of conditions is also very good.
Surely this terminal will not last long on the list, since the Oppo Reno 3 will soon be commercialized, which comes with 5G connectivity and renewed hardware in every way.
- AMOLED On-Cell Screen 6.5 inches 2400 x 1080 pixels Snapdragon 730 processor with 8GB of RAM 128GB storage with MicroSD expansion 4000 mAh battery with 20W fast charge Exquisite design, built in metal and glass Versatile and very good performance Very original retractable camera system 3.5mm jack and NFC connectivity
- No IPx Selfi protection a little below the competition No wireless charging
Realme X2 Pro
The Realme X2 Pro is surely the best mobile of 2019 in terms of performance / price, and a manufacturer also revelation that increasingly polishes its creations. And is that accustomed to terminals with Snapdragon 855+ that comfortably exceed 600 euros, Realme sells it to us only for 450 euros in its 64 GB version, have you seen the same thing?
As for design, it is also at an excellent level. We have quite compact measurements of 160x75x8.7 mm weighing a remarkable 199 grams with colors available in bright blue and beautiful white. In the back we have 4 photo sensors in a vertical row and a drop-type notch on the front with an 83% utilization, not spectacular for what we see in the competition. What is remarkable is the speed of its fingerprint reader, possibly one of the fastest as well as its facial recognition, which already impressed us in the modest Realme 3 Pro.
We are going to continue with its hardware, because we do have an 855+, Qualcomm's fastest processor before the arrival of the new batch for 2020. This comes with 6, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a storage configuration of 64 UFS 2.1 and 128 and 256 GB UFS 3.0, although without expandability. Undoubtedly, benefits that are close to 500, 000 points in AnTuTu for only 449 euros in the most expensive version. Its battery is 4000 mAh with a very good autonomy having brutal fast charge with 50W. If these people are beasts, let others learn.
The display that has been installed is 6.5 inches with 2400x1080p Super AMOLED technology with support for HDR10 +, 1000 nits of maximum brightness, 135% NTSC and 90 Hz refresh rate. Undoubtedly a spectacular screen for gaming of very good quality for being its manufacturer Samsung, at the level of the Flagship of 800 euros. The sound system is also outstanding with dual speakers and very powerful Dolby Panasonic Sound technology.
And as for cameras, we have a 64 MP Samsung S5KGW1 main sensor, a 13 MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom, wide angle + 8 MP to 115 macro or aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Of course versatility we also have a 2.5 cm macro for very close photos, although it is true that the color fidelity is not as good as in the flagships and the night mode can be improved. But for the price, we have a great quality at the level of terminals of similar price. Finally, the selfie is 16 MP also with a good performance.
- Best quality / performance / price you can find Super AMOLED screen 6.5 inches 2400 x 1080 pixels at 90 Hz Snapdragon 855+ processor along with 6/8/12 GB of RAM Storage 64/128/256 GB Somewhat higher quad camera its competitors in price Fingerprint reader very fast TOP performance less than 450 euros It has a 3.5 Jack and great sound quality in stereo Fast charge of 50W and 4000 mAh
- Non-expandable storage Tight measurements and weight Not certified IP Somewhat intrusive software layer
Realme 5 Pro
We now continue with another Realme terminal that is the best that the mid-range has with current generation hardware. The 5 PRO is a fairly original terminal in design, mainly due to the gemstone-like effects made by its glass back in its two colors, blue-purple and sky-green. You will not see anything like it in this sense, and it may seem very beautiful or very ugly, we do not believe there is a middle ground. Of course, the side edge is plastic, suppressing in this case the metal and the use of a cover being much more important.
A 6.3-inch screen with IPS technology and 2340x1080p resolution without HDR support has been installed in this phone, but with a brightness of up to 450 nits. Obviously, the fingerprint sensor has moved to the back due to limitations of this type. of screens, but as an advantage we have a great color fidelity with nothing to envy to the mid-range AMOLEDs. And in it we have a drop type notch and a useful area of 83%, which translates into total terminal measurements of 74.2x157x8.9 mm weighing 184 g. There is no lack of 3.5mm Jack connectivity or facial recognition, being one of the fastest. We only lose NFC connectivity and protection from water and dust.
As for hardware, this Realme 5 Pro has a Snapdragon 712 Octa-core, Adreno 616 and a RAM of 4, 6 and up to 8 GB DDR4. For storage we also have variants in 64 GB and 128 GB UFS 2.1 with capacity for expansion by MicroSD card. To this we must add a 4035 mAh battery with 20W fast charge that will give us autonomy at the level of its competitors in price, although it is true that IPS screens consume a little more than AMOLEDs. Undoubtedly a hardware that is very close to the Mi 9 Lite and the Oppo or practically on par.
The configuration of cameras that we have will be 4 rear sensors and 1 front: 48 MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 8 MP and 119 ° wide angle, 2 MP depth sensor for portrait mode and sensor for macro at 4 cm from 2 MP. To this we add a 16 MP front sensor. The experience is much better than for example the Realme 3 PRO that we tested, and could be very close to the performance of a Mi 9T for example and somewhat lower than the Mi A3. Little more can a Smartphone offer us for this price, but we expect great things for this 2020.
- IPS screen 6.5 inches 2340 x 1080 pixels Snapdragon 710 processor with 4/6 / 8GB of RAM 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4035 mAh battery with 20W fast charge Daring and different design Versatile cameras with remarkable improvement over to other versions and to the level of the Xiaomi Of the best for this price
- No NFC No IPx protection Personalization layer with enough extra software installed Plastic edges
Redmi Note 8 Pro
For a price of around 220 euros we have a performance close to the Reno 2Z from Oppo, since it ultimately uses almost the same Mediatek processor although with some differences that we will see. As always, the manufacturer has done a great job in most sections, always one of the best-selling families year after year for its excellent quality / price. In this, the design has been significantly renewed compared to the Note 7, with cameras in the central part next to the fingerprint reader, a smaller rubber type notch, more used frames and glass finishes at the back keeping plastic in the frames. It is available in black, turquoise and white, we even have IP65 resistance, that is, to splash water.
An LTPS LCD screen has been installed , a 6.53-inch IPS variant at a resolution of 2340x1080p that is similar to that of the Note 8T, although in this case its brightness increases up to 500 nits, 84% NTSC and without HDR support. We have of course Google facial recognition, NFC connectivity and 3.5mm Jack. This family has not yet switched to AMOLED technology, which we do not see a disadvantage if we buy it for example with the Mi A3 and its 720p resolution.
Where certain skeptics will appear is in the hardware, since in this case a cheaper processor than the Qualcomm has been used. It is the MediaTek Helios G90T Octa-core running at 2.05 GHz and with Mali-G76 GPU at 800 MHz. It is not a CPU as optimized for gaming as the Snapdragon, but it is a wise choice to opt for the Mali GPU instead of IMG PowerVR. The RAM and storage configuration consists of 6 and 8 GB of RAM with 64/128 GB UFS 2.1. The battery is an aspect that has also been improved even more, with no less than 4500 mAh and 18W of fast charge, which will calmly give us 9 hours of screen and even more at medium brightness.
The presence of cameras in the back has also doubled and now we have: 64 MP Samsung Bright S5KGW1 main sensor, 8 MP wide angle with 120 ° field of view, 2 cm and 2 MP macro sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor that will help portrait mode. It seems that depth and macro sensors have been installed with an iron fist in the new mid-range, and also worthily replace x2 zoom telephoto lenses. Its performance in difficult conditions is not at the level of a Mi A3 for example, something that we would have liked, but under favorable conditions these 4 sensors will give us versatility and good quality. The front camera is 20 MP also with a very good performance in selfie and portrait.
- 6.3 inch 2340 x 1080 pixels IPS screen Helio G90T processor with Mali-G76 GPU and 6/8 GB of RAM 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charge 4 versatile cameras with main sensor 64 MP Very good quality / price ratio Design and color palette chosen, with IP65
- Keeps plastic on the edges Sound just fair In night and difficult conditions do not equal the Mi A3
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro
The Xiaomi Mi 9T PRO or Redmi K20 Pro in the Asian version made itself begged, but we consider it as the perfect substitute for the Mi 9 for having a much better battery, the same hardware and features typical of a flagship like this.
As for design, it is practically a carbon copy of the Mi 9T or K20, with the same color palette adding a 4th version in white that I wish had been the day I bought the Mi 9T. All of them finished in glass at the back and metal at the edges, and with a triple rear camera in the central area. In front we have a retractable camera and a screen that takes advantage of 86% of the front, which is not bad for not being curved. Of course, we have no resistance to water and dust, but neither does the Mi 9. Perhaps we needed more design innovations to differentiate it from its little brother. Its measurements are 157x74x8.8 mm weighing 191 grams.
Where we do have a leap in quality is in the hardware, to find a Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640, 6 GB of RAM for the European version and storage 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 without expansion by SD. They will certainly enhance pure gaming performance for those who want extra power in this area. The battery remains the same as the 9T model, with 4000 mAh and 27W fast charge although the included charger is 18W. The truth is that they are not great news except the processor, but the price increase is not substantial compared to the younger brother.
The screen that has been installed is exactly the same on the two models. With a diagonal of 6.39 inches and Samsung's Super AMOLED technology. Its resolution is 2340x1080p supporting HDR and 600 nits of maximum brightness. The recognition systems are also the same as in most Xiaomi phones, with an on-screen fingerprint reader and Android's own facial recognition. With MIUI 11 these systems have undergone a notable improvement in speed, especially the footprint. We also have NFC connectivity, 3.5mm Jack and a good sound system when it comes to volume.
Also in the cameras we have a slight upgrade compared to the 9T with triple rear sensor and mounting: a 48 MP main Sony IMX586 (IMX 582 for the 9T), 8 MP telephoto lens with X2 zoom and 13 MP to 124 wide angle. In front of us we have a 20 MP selfie with 2.2 focal length with good performance but against the backlight it costs a lot. The result in the photos is similar in the secondary cameras, but it does show the best brightness of the 586 compared to the 58. We have a better adjustment in color processing and HDR, and thanks to the best processor we can record at 4K @ 60 FPS.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10/10 Pro
The Note saga returns to Xiaomi and is re-released with this Note 10 that comes with interesting news such as Qualcomm's new mid-range processor or its 108 MP camera.
But let's start with its design, where we have quite a few things to highlight, such as its screen with curvature on the sides in combination with a half circle notch that increases the use up to 87%. As well as its finishes, in glass and two precious versions in black and white, without strange reflections and elegant and sober design where there are thanks to a rear camera distribution on the side. We have 3.5mm Jack and NFC connectivity. The terminal measures only 158x74x9.7 mm taking the weight up to 208 g, now we will see why.
For the screen, a 6.47-inch panel and AMOLED technology with 4D lateral curvature have been chosen, something that we have not seen in the Chinese for a long time. It offers a resolution of 2340x1080p with HDR10 + support, maximum brightness of 600 nits demonstrating excellent color quality. On it runs Android 9 upgradeable to 10 and the MIUI 11 layer, and an audio system with a single speaker and 3.5mm Jack, without missing the NFC and the FM radio.
The hardware that has been assembled consists of a new remit processor Snapdragon 730G with Adreno 618. Among the novelties of these new generation processors we have support for ultra-resolution cameras and 5G connectivity (here we do not have) among other things. The Note 10 version mounts 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the Note 10 Pro has 8 GB and 256 GB, this being the only difference between the two. Perhaps in this sense we missed a greater gross power in the CPU. And pay attention to the battery, because we have 5260 mAh, weighing quite a bit, yes, but offering the best autonomy on the market. In addition, it has 30W of fast charge with included charger.
And we finish with the second differential aspect, which is its cameras, because we have a total of 6 sensors, 5 at the back and one in front: main sensor of 108 MP Samsung S5KHMX, telephoto lens of 8 MP with optical zoom X5, wide angle of 20 MP 117 or, a depth sensor for portrait mode with 12 MP and a 2 MP Macro sensor for photos 2 and 10 cm. We certainly have versatility, but those 108 MP do not mean extreme quality, because the super flagships still surpass it, but the detail that it is capable of capturing with it and the other sensors is spectacular. The selfie is completed with a high-performance 32 MP sensor, being the same as the one mounted by the Mi A3.
- Curved AMOLED screen 6.47 inches 2340 x 1080 pixels Snapdragon 730G processor along with 6/8 GB of RAM 128/256 GB UFS 2.1 storage according to version Huge versatility and detail in photography, although the software is not as well optimized as in The flagship Fingerprint reader and facial recognition It has 3.5 Jack and NFC The best autonomy, with 5260 mAh and fast charge of 30W Design
- Storage not expandable Without IPx certification Results in the photos somewhat lower than expectations Heavy phone due to its huge battery
Xiaomi Mi A3
The Mi A3 was one of the most anticipated Smartphone of 2019 due to the great legacy that its previous versions left, and evaluating it together, having analyzed it, we believe that it has not disappointed. But not everyone liked the choice of their screen that we will now see. Starting with its design, it is a compact terminal with measures of 71.9 × 153.5 × 8.5 mm and weighing only 174 g. It has glass finishes on the back and aluminum on the sides, being available in black, blue and white that you would certainly choose without thinking. We can say that the design and finishes are among the best in the price range, being superior in touch and experience.
We continue with what is one of its most controversial sections and rightly so, the screen. In this case we have a 6.09-inch panel with Samsung's AMOLED technology, but it delivers a resolution of only 1560x720p (HD +). And the truth is that if we come from more expensive terminals, the resolution and sharpness of the image shows, being its main Achilles tendon. At least as an advantage we have better autonomy by having to light fewer pixels. The quality of the colors is very good, with a brightness of 350 nits maximum and 103% NTSC. In it we have a drop type notch and a useful area of 82%.
One of the reasons for choosing the screen has been to install a front fingerprint reader, and thus differentiate itself from the Redmi Note 7 below and the Mi 9T above in price. This one works well, just like the standard Android facial recognition, but they are not the fastest by Xiaomi. The NFC has also fallen by the wayside, but we have 3.5mm Jack and everything else we could ask for.
Regarding hardware, we have a Snapdragon 665 processor along with a 4 GB RAM, with storage configuration of 64 and 128 GB UFS 2.1 with MicroSD expansion. All this moves thanks to a 4030 mAh battery with 18W fast charge with incredible autonomy thanks to the screen and chosen hardware. The included charge is 10W.
Another advantage that inherits from its A series is the software, because we have Android ONE 9.0, that is, the system without any customization layer and completely in stock. And the last advantage is undoubtedly its photography section in which we have: 48 MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, 8 MP to 118 ° wide angle and 2 MP depth sensor for portrait mode. The front camera is the best, with a 32 MP Samsung S5KGD1 sensor. And after trying it, we can say that it is one of the best cameras in its range, both for color interpretation and for versatility and performance in adverse conditions.
- Snapdragon 665 Octa-core processor with 4 GB of RAM 64/128 GB UFS 2.1 storage with expansion 4030 mAh battery with an autonomy of the highest for its price Android ONE with 2 years of updates and 3 security patches Palette of colors, design and finishes From the best cameras in its price range On-screen fingerprint reader Very compact and light weight
- Screen with 720p resolution, although 6.09-inch AMOLED Without IPx protection Without NFC Somewhat slow biometric systems
