Microsoft blocks the use of cortana in google chrome, firefox and opera

Microsoft has decided to restrict the use to Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera browsers among others with its personal assistant Cortana. The main reason is that they want to improve the user experience and they want Microsoft Edge to be more relevant to the user.

Cortana can only be used with Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer

This decision seems to be due to the fact that they want to improve the search experience and because their Bing browser is quite far from the number one search in the world: Google. For now they are all critical and with good reason.

From my humble opinion and as a user who uses Cortana with Google Chrome, for now it works correctly and performs all searches for me. But I suspect that briefly all users will be forced to use it with Microsoft Edge, an browser that is acceptable but is not the best on the market or competes with Firefox or Google Chrome.

Microsoft has also indicated that this option is optional and from Windows 10 itself you can use the search engine and browser of your choice with Cortana. We remind you of our tutorial on how to change the cortana search engine in Windows 10, although we cannot guarantee that it will work in the next update.

The difference between Microsoft compared to Mac OSX or other operating systems is its excellent customization and a wide variety of resources to modify. What do you think of this new Microsoft decision? Do you think it is right or is it unlucky?
