Microsoft stops selling windows 8

Microsoft has announced that it is no longer marketing its controversial Windows 8 in the retail market, meaning that online retailers and physical stores will no longer be able to access new copies of the operating system for marketing.

However, equipment vendors will be able to continue accessing new copies of the system, so they will be able to continue selling computers with Windows 8 installed. With this move Microsoft leaves Windwos 8.1 and Windows 7 Pro as the only options for the retail market for the professional sector. The other versions of Windows 7 are also not available.

The disappearance of Windows 8 is logical since the update to version 8.1 is completely free.
