Microsoft edge comes to android and ios in preview format

Following a surprise announcement by Microsoft, the company announced the launch of the web browser for Ios. Also, there will also be a version for Android very soon.

For starters, Microsoft Edge will be available to users in the United States. However, the rest of the users should receive it very soon. At the moment, the browser is in Preview version, since Microsoft will create new features based on the feedback received from users. Also, Edge for Android and iOS does not yet support Android tablets or iPads.

Edge debuts for Android and iOS in Preview format

Microsoft's goal is to help users distribute documents more easily. However, users will also benefit from an interoperability function, which refers to the possibility of continuing the navigation they had left in Windows 10 from the mobile. In the web browser there is an option called "Continue on PC ", through which you can send an article not yet read to the computer.

Other Edge for Windows 10 features are also available on mobile. Here we can highlight the synchronization of bookmarks or reading lists. Similarly, passwords can be synchronized and there will be support for ebooks and ePubs.

Edge for iOS is based on the WebKit engine, while the Android version was developed using Chromium. This means that the new Edge browsers will be personalized “skins”, with dedicated functions.
