Microsoft edge has a bug that compromises security

Anonim

Microsoft Edge is the new Microsoft browser to succeed the ancient Internet Explorer. Edge has had a good initial reception by users but a new bug has been discovered and may affect the perception that users have of it.

Researcher Ashish Singh has discovered a major bug in Microsoft Edge that affects the operation of its private mode, compromising the security of users. Web pages visited in private mode are stored locally and can be easily retrieved from the computer's hard drive. These visited pages are stored in the same place as those visited in conventional navigation:

\ Users \ user_name \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ WebCache \ WebCacheV01.dat

Microsoft has already spoken up, recognized the problem, and says they are already working to fix it as soon as possible.
