Microsoft prepares five new versions of windows 10

Microsoft is working on important changes when it comes to offering Windows 10, with new versions that will adapt to all kinds of customers and different teams. These changes would come in the next operating system update, Paul Thurrot reveals in a report.

Windows 10 - Entry - Value - Core - Core + - Advanced

The intention of Microsoft is to create five new versions of the operating system, these will be; Entry, Value, Core, Core + and Advanced. All of them are intended for different configurations, with Entry being the most modest and cheapest and Advanced being the most advanced version of Windows 10, only recommended for computers with i7 or Ryzen 7 onwards.

The list of the five SKUs and their prices will be as follows; Entry ($ 25), Value ($ 45), Core ($ 64.45), Core + ($ 86.66) and Advanced ($ 101).

  • Entry: Intel Atom / Celeron / Pentium CPU - 4 GB of RAM - 32 GB of SSD - screen size 14.1 ′ (NB) - 11.6 ′ (Tablets 2 in 1) - 17 ′ AiO. Value: Intel Atom / Celeron / Pentium CPU - 4 GB of RAM - 64 GB SSD - Screen of 14.1 - 64GB SSD or 500GB HDD. Core: Cannot be used on devices that meet Core + and Advanced hardware specifications. Core +: High-end CPU - 4 GB of RAM (In all form factors) - 8 GB of RAM - 1080p screen resolution (NB, 2-in-1, AiO)> 8 GB of RAM and 2 HDD or SSD storage TB (Desktop). Advanced: Intel Core i9 (any configuration) or Core i7 with 6 cores (any RAM) or AMD Threadripper (any configuration) - AMD FX / Ryzen 7 with 16 GB of RAM (any number of cores) - Prepared for 4K resolution.

In all cases, 4GB of RAM is recommended, when currently the minimum requirements of Windows 10 are 2GB for the 64-bit version.

It is also commented that Windows 10 S will no longer be offered as such, instead Windows 10 Home, Pro and Education will each get their own S mode. Users will be able to upgrade from Windows 10 Home in S mode to Windows 10 Home for free, but a $ 49 fee will be imposed on users who want to upgrade from Windows 10 Pro in S mode to Windows 10 Pro.

These new versions of Windows 10 will take effect on April 2.
