Aesthetically little can be blamed on this team. As we commented in the introduction, externally it is identical to the model we analyzed, with very aggressive but really elegant lines, and fully configurable LED lighting for the three zones (right, left and bottom), which gives it a touch of personalization that very few teams possess.

We will not include too many images from the outside, since they are totally identical to the review that we linked above. Yes, we will highlight the rear part below, to see the ports that this model includes.

We find on the left the dedicated graphics ports, a modest R7 240, which has a VGA, an HDMI 1.4 and a DVI, in this order. Just below we see the power connectors, of which this team only needs the right one. Already in the red zone, we find the HDMI corresponding to the graphics of the A10 7800.

Moving to the right, we see the audio ports, just above the gap for a Kensington lock, a network port and 6 USB ports. The ideal connectivity for a team of these characteristics. On the front we find a slim DVD drive and two USB3.0 ports, in addition to the power button.

Disassembling the equipment is not recommended for inexperienced users, since due to the small form factor it is quite difficult to make any change. As with the rest of the G20 series models, we must remove an adhesive from the bottom that voids the warranty, as well as a screw that fixes the side cover, which slides and removes.

In this case we are faced with a simple source, since the energy needs of this model are also less than in the more powerful G20s.

For the wireless network part, it mounts a Realtek 8821AE chip, it is an AC 2 × 2 wireless network card, which will give us speeds very comparable to those of the network cable in medium and short distances, ideal for HD streaming and games on-line. Without a doubt an excellent addition, especially in one of the simplest teams in its range.

Test of performance

The CPU performance is low, really low, when compared to the usual processors that are mounted on gaming equipment. In multithreading, it solves the economic G3258 with solvency, although unfortunately the update options in this socket are not as good as in the 1150.

We note that in the game benchmarks the values ​​are much lower than the other G20, as is natural, since this one mounts a graph of less than € 100, the 780 costs around 5 times more, and increases performance on a similar scale. We have kept the highest settings to give the benchmark an objective value comparable to the previous one, but for a team like this, since 1080p, the correct thing to have a good gaming experience is to use medium settings, without filters, so we will be able to maintain about 30fps in most titles

Final words and conclusion

We are facing a G20 much cheaper than the one we have been quoting throughout the review, unfortunately the drop in price comes from the hand of a significant cut in the benefits of this great team.

The general feelings are good, and without a doubt we are facing a team that can fill the niche of HTPC and console in the living room with great solvency, but we can not help missing the excellent performance in every way of its older brother.

We recommend to any user interested in a team of these dimensions to save a little more to acquire the G20AJ model in any of its variants, although it is a greater outlay, really worth it in favor of having a more solvent team that will move the heaviest titles. just like any desktop. In case you only have the € 700, which is the price for which you can find this model, we recommend opting for equipment with a larger form factor and prioritizing performance over small size and aesthetics. For users who can live without that extra performance, this G20 is definitely a great choice.
