So far monitors with a refresh rate of 240Hz can only be found in the ASUS ROG PG258Q that was recently unveiled at Computex but it looks like this is going to quickly start standardizing, as well as panels with 5K resolution.

Screens with 240Hz and 5K and panels with VA technology

One of the most important panel manufacturers for monitors and televisions, AUO Optronics (AUO), has revealed its roadmap for the rest of this year and 2017, in it we can see the manufacturer's efforts to bring TN panels to resolution Full-HD (1920 x 1080) with a refresh rate of 240Hz natively for the next 6 months, in sizes of 25 and 27 inches.

AUO also reveals that by the end of this year they will also be manufacturing the first QHD panels (2560 x 1440 pixels) with this same refresh rate, possibly the first products that use these screens will be on sale to the public in the first months of 2017.

AUO is one of the most important manufacturers of screens together with Samsung and LG

If we get into the field of monitors with the new VA technology (better than IPS), the first panoramic curved panels (1800 R) with native refreshments of up to 200 Hz and resolutions of up to 3440 x 1440 pixels will begin to be produced in 2017 (UWQHD). AUO acknowledged that it is focusing its efforts on the development of 5K panels, which are gathering strength in the field of professional graphic design.
