New information comes to light to show the heatsinks that AMD will include in its new Ryzen processors, specifically the new Wraith Spire and Max have been shown that promise to offer a much better stock thermal solution than that of Intel.

AMD Wraith Spire and Max

AMD Wraith Max is a fairly powerful heatsink that can handle processors with a TDP of up to 140W, a figure significantly higher than the 95W of the more powerful Ryzen so with the stock heatsink we should be able to do a moderate overclock. It will also allow XFR technology to work quite correctly to improve the performance of the new chips, in essence it is an automatic overclock beyond the turbo frequency depending on the chip temperature.

AMD Wraith is the brand's new heatsink

Next we have the Wraith Spire that can handle a maximum TDP of 95W, more than enough for Ryzen processors with a TDP of 65W which it is sure to be able to keep cool. This heatsink will not be sufficient for models with XFR.

It seems that the heatsinks offered by AMD are going to be a very good option and will avoid buying a third-party solution, except that you want to overclock quite aggressive.
