For a few months we have seen how there are several brands that have patents for a folding phone. It is something that the industry is working at a fast pace. Now, a new brand is added to this fashion. Since Motorola also has a patent with these characteristics. The firm has a patent for a phone that turns into a tablet.

It is a patent that has some similarities with other patents that we have seen previously of phones of this type. So in part we are not too surprised.

Motorola bets on a folding phone

The device can be bent, up to 45 degrees, and would have two screens depending on how the user uses it. So it acts as a mobile phone and tablet. What would give many possibilities to users in terms of content consumption or when having to work. Plus, it can be closed like a book, making it convenient to carry.

This Motorola patent was registered in September 2016, although it was not until March of this same year that it was accepted. So the brand has been developing this model for quite some time. Although at present it is not known how advanced the project is.

We see how many brands are allocating many resources to these folding phones. So surely after Motorola will come some more. What is unknown is when the first folding phones will arrive on the market.
