Msi starts showing its new x299 motherboard
Table of contents:
MSI has started showing off its next generation motherboard based on Intel's upcoming X299 platform. The upcoming MSI X299 motherboard has plenty of RGB LEDs to provide a very attractive look, three M.2 slots for high-end drives, and plenty of x16 ports for 4-way SLI / CF systems.
MSI goes for it all on the X299 platform
The new MSI motherboard will use the upcoming LGA 2066 socket and MSI's own Audio Boost VI technology. MSI will reportedly use a 6-pin PCIe power connector above the first PCIe x16 slot to run multi-GPU configurations. We are looking at what will be the manufacturer's top of the range board for the new Intel platform.
Best motherboards on the market in 2017
According to the data, Intel will release 12C / 24T processors based on the upcoming Kaby Lake X architecture, a reaction to the launch of the new AMD Ryzen processors. These new Intel processors will arrive on the market two months earlier than originally planned, all thanks to the arrival of R yzen, which has already begun to reduce sales of the chip giant.
AMD has shown us the massive improvement in Ryzen's IPC, an improvement that has put the current processors against Intel on the ropes that cost much more money and in many cases yield less than Sunnyvale's solutions, especially in applications that do very intensive use of all processor cores.
It only remains to see at what prices the new Intel processors will arrive, although they will not be exactly cheap.
