We do not present the laptop in its box because it has not yet arrived in Spain for sale. They were sent to us in a generic box so it does not represent much value for the review. Next to the laptop they attached a power supply for testing.

The design of the laptop is beautiful, using a plastic base treated with a slight effect of brushed aluminum, it presents two lines reminiscent of two muscles. Its dimensions are very compact with 345 x 245 cm x 21.8 mm (width x depth x height), while its weight does not reach 1.4 kg.

In the lateral connections we find on the right edge a USB 3.0 connection, a super port, an HDMI connection and an outlet to expel the hot air. While on the left side we have a GBLan network connection, a power input, a USB 3.0 connection, a card reader and an audio input / output.

When we position ourselves at the rear we find two outlets for hot air and one inlet for the Mini Display Port (mDP).

In the hardware section , we will highlight its 14 ″ LED screen with FULL HD 1920 x 1080 16: 9 resolution with Anti-Glare and improved vision in the angle. We understand that not using an IPS panel is to get more out of enthusiastic gamers with an even better response time. You can see in these 4 images the quality of the screen.

The processor is the new and powerful i7-6700HQ at 2.6 GHz (3.6 GHz with turbo) and 6MB of cache, this model exactly has 16GB of DDR4 memory, a storage system with a 1TB hard drive to save information and a system in 128GB SSD RAID 0 with M.2 connectivity. It also incorporates Windows 10 PRO 64-bit technology, although it will depend on the version we buy.

As a graphics card we have the powerful 3GB GDRR3 GTX970M which is next to the GTX980M the look for insignia of the most powerful NVIDIA graphics cards. With it we will be able to enjoy 99% of the games available with high details.

The keyboard has a complete distribution in Spanish (Incorporates the Ñ) signed by the specialist Steelseries. It is made up of a single compact block and incorporates a software adjustable red LED lighting system. The ergonomics of the laptop is very good and the grace is that it is super mobile due to its light weight.

On connectivity, it has an RJ45 10/100/1000 Intel, Bluetooth 4.0 connection, Wifi 802.11 AC connection, Killer LAN Gigabit network card and an SD card reader (SDHC / SDXC) / MMC / MS / MS PRO / MS PRO DUO.

When we turn the laptop over, we see some grids that improve the cooling of the equipment without using an auxiliary base. Once the cover is removed (you have to break the warranty seal) we see the entire interior of the laptop: dissipation, SATA and M.2 disks.

The MSI GS40 with i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB of RAM and one of the best graphics cards of the moment… the 3GB GTX 970M. Thanks to its 14 ″ inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p) and its weight of 1.4KG make it a true killer of small size laptop.

Coming soon to Spanish stores for a price of 1800 to 2000 euros depending on its technical characteristics. If you are looking for something small but bully, this is your laptop. A 100% recommended purchase.
