MSI has recently focused on creating laptops for content creators, with which MSI has introduced the Modern 15 laptop.

This notebook is intended for entry-level content creation markets. The MSI Modern 15 laptop is powered by a 10th Gen Intel (Comet Lake) processor and NVIDIA's recently announced GeForce MX330 discrete graphics chips. MSI's Modern 15 laptop offers decent performance and is not only relatively low weight, but also reasonably priced.

The laptop is currently only available in a configuration that uses the Intel Core i7-10510U 'Comet Lake' quad-core processor, this processor is accompanied by 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, a 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD and the GeForce MX330 graphics chips with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. This laptop is one level below MSI's series of Prestige laptops, which means it forgoes some cores and GeForce GTX graphics.

For connectivity, the MSI Modern 15 laptop is equipped with a WI-Fi 6 and a Bluetooth 5 adapter, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connector with support for DisplayPort Alt mode, three USB Type-A connectors, one is USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 3.2 Gen 2. This laptop also features an HDMI output, a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as a microSD card reader.

The Modern 15 comes in a black or silver chassis with brushed aluminum elements, and this chassis is 15.9mm thick.

The screen is 15.6-inch Full-HD. Still, with the slimmer bezels, the chassis dimensions are closer to those of traditional 14-inch notebooks. In total, this laptop weighs 1.6 kilograms.

MSI has stated that this laptop will last nine hours on a single charge. MSI intends to sell the Modern 15, in principle, in Japan from February 27 and its price will be 165, 000 yen. The launch in Europe or the USA is not yet confirmed.
