Msi optix meg381cqr: the 38 ”ultra wide gaming monitor with hmi

Another of the monitors that MSI has presented at CES 2020 is the MSI Optix MEG381CQR, which will also be used to be awarded at the event. The differential aspect of this huge curved monitor is that it has an OLED screen in its lower frame with a selector dial in the purest PipBoy style of Fallout.

This type of technology is usually called HMI or Human machine Interface, for providing a machine with a visual resource in which real-time information about a finished event is displayed and also allows the user to manipulate and configure the information.

All this is to tell you that the MSI Optix MEG381CQR is the first monitor on the market that, in addition to its main screen, offers us a second exclusive OLED screen to access general information about the equipment and game hardware for users. In it we can see states such as the character's health, climate or GPU temperature in real time. Only by moving a control dial located in the lower left corner can we see all this and more. It is even possible to adjust system settings on the fly as it is software integrated into the operating system. For practical purposes it would be like the screen included in some motherboards like the X570 Godlike but with more interaction.

Focusing now on the monitor itself, it presents us in a curved 2300R design, with a large lateral aperture thanks to a diagonal of no less than 38 inches in 21: 9 format. Its resolution rises to 3840x1600p on a 144 Hz IPS panel with 1 ms response. So another game for our wish list.
