MSI has introduced its new PAG271P monitor, the brand's first IPS . This 27-inch screen will speak. Inside, the details.

Recently, MSI decided to enter the monitor sector to compete with the big brands, such as ASUS, BenQ or Dell. So far, the journey has not gone bad, but you already know the interests of consumers. This time, it presents its first monitor with an IPS panel, which aims to offer image quality and gaming performance in abundance.

MSI PAG271P: 27 inches, IPS panel and 144 Hz to enjoy

MSI has taken its line of monitors seriously and presents a product that can be round for many. First of all, we will have a 27-inch IPS panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. All this combined with an "ultra narrow" design that leaves no bevels.

Second, we will have 1 ms response time and a 12-bit 0% sRGB color gamut. In this way, we will receive the best possible image quality without having to give up gaming performance. This panel features dynamic contrast, allowing you to view enemies in dark places.

Quiet, AMD and NVIDIA users: it is compatible with FreeSync and G-Sync to adapt 100% to your graphics cards. It seems to me a hoot in favor of MSI to incorporate both technologies in the same monitor because, thus, the consumer does not have to discard a model for not incorporating one or the other.

To top it off, note that, being IPS, we have a viewing angle of 178 degrees and we can adjust the MSI PAG271P vertically or tilt it up to 20 degrees. I think this is good news because not everyone has a perfect, straight desk.

Price and launch

We go with what interests us. In principle, it can be booked already in China, but customers will not receive it until approximately April 8. Its price: 1899 yuan, which at the exchange is € 243.44.

In my opinion, if you get here for that price, it can be a very interesting option. It is true that some will discard it for being 27 inches and not having a 1440p resolution , but it is true that we have:

  • Panel IPS.144 Hz.1 ms.G-Sync and FreeSync.Color 12 bits 0% sRGB.Design "without bevels".

On paper, I think it's a great product because 1440p resolution is still almost unmanageable in many video games, unless you have a high-end GPU. As we have seen, the vast majority of Steam users have a GTX 1060, which means playing 1080p. Not to mention that the image quality offered by this IPS makes this MSI PAG271P a versatile monitor.

We recommend the best monitors on the market

What do you think of this monitor? Would you buy it for that price? What would you change about him?
