This information came about on the basis of an email, in which MSI denied the possibility of supporting the next third generation of Zen 2 processors from AMD Ryzen on their 'old' 300 series motherboards. This has turned out to be a response. wrong by a member of customer service, which was quickly replicated by different technology portals.

At this point, we are still conducting extensive testing on our existing line of 300 and 400 series AM4 motherboards to verify the potential compatibility of AMD's next-generation Ryzen CPUs. To be clear: Our intention is to offer maximum compatibility for as many MSI products as possible. Towards the launch of the next generation of AMD CPUs, we will launch an MSI AM4 motherboard compatibility list.

Below is a full list of upcoming BIOS versions including next-generation AMD APU compatibility for our 300 and 400 series AM4 motherboards based on the latest version of AMD Combo PI 1.0.0.0.0. We hope that these BIOS versions will be released in May of this year.

It is important to clarify that MSI is still testing on 300 series motherboards, so full support is not yet confirmed. We will keep you informed.
