Today we present you the two new MSI motherboards with shocks LGA2011-3 that we still have to make known. These are the MSI X99S GAMING 7 and the MSI X99S SLI PLUS, the two cheapest MSI boards for the Intell Haswell-E platform.
Both motherboards feature an LGA2011-3 socket powered by an 8-phase power VRM surrounded by eight DDR4 DIMM slots that support a maximum of 128GB of RAM up to 3333Mhz (OC).
They also have four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots accompanied by two PCIe x1 slots, a 32GB / s Turbo M.2 interface, 10 Sata III 6GB / s ports, Sata Express port and exclusive features such as Guard-Pro, OC Genie 4 and OC Engine.
We now turn to see the differences between the two motherboards:
MSI X99S GAMING 7
As differentiating features, it has Killer Ethernet connectivity, Audio Boost sound chip with Sound Blaster Cinema 2 sound technology and USB ports optimized for gaming peripherals with higher amperage to power them correctly. It has a price of 244 euros.
MSI X99S SLI PLUS
Its differentiating features are Intel Gigabit connectivity and Military Class 4 components. It has a price of 217 euros

MSI has also introduced two motherboards located one rung below the MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC, the MSI X99S MPOWER and MSI X99S XPOWER AC
