Unboxing and design

Nacon opts for an excellent presentation for its new controller with a compact but robust box at the same time. On the cover we find a full-color image of the remote, all its certifications and compatibility with Windows 7/8 and Windows 10.

While in the back area we have in different languages: Spanish, English, German, Dutch, French and Italian detailed its most important characteristics.

Once we open the box we find a very practical and transportable case, where it houses the Gamepad and all its accessories. The bundle is made up of:

The new Nacon GC-400ES gamepad has been created with the aim of offering a product very comfortable to use during long gaming sessions, therefore its shape and ergonomics have been taken care of down to the last detail and it has been considerably polished, tested and carefully worked by NACON and Gen1us , Two-time champion of the esports world. A development of more than 18 months that has made the Nacon GC-400ES the perfect gamepad to be used in all kinds of games such as fighting games (Mortal Kombat or Tekken), shooters (CSGO or CoD) or even the main MOBAs (League of Legends, Heroes of Storm and Smite) thanks to its replacement keyboard and mouse game mode.

The Nacon GC-400ES has been designed to get the best performance from your right joystick. For this, it is based on a new design with a renewed structure and advanced software that provide enormous precision capable of replacing the mouse in games that have always been dominated by the latter, such as shooters with their 46º width.

We also find an A-DPAD that makes it perfect for fighting games and the quick and precise keystrokes that are required in this genre. To increase their possibilities, two additional buttons programmable by software have been included so that the user can assign them the function they need most in a very comfortable way, for example you can assign different actions such as jump shoot, reload and aim in zoom.

Maximum performance in all titles: for this the Nacon GC-400ES is based on two operating modes, thanks to "Mode 1" you can use your gamepad as a classic D-Input and X-input controller and thanks to "Mode 2 ESPORT ” You will be able to choose up to four different game profiles as well as create them by categories in addition to editing and customizing them until you get the maximum performance. Game profiles can be exported and exchanged easily and at any time thanks to the "Home" button on the gamepad.

In the rear area of the Nacon GC-400ES we find the engraved reference number and two buttons that allow us to launch up to a total of 4 shortcuts.

It incorporates a braided cable to offer greater durability and fixation with the remote. The connector is metallic, basically, to offer a much more secure fixing…

Also note that it has been launched with cable as there could be a slight delay (as it is a remote that can be perfectly competed) like all wireless products. From our point of view it is quite a success.

Finally, it incorporates additional weights on each side of the remote, which we can mount 2 x 17 g, 2 x 14 g and 2 x 10 g to cover all our needs.

We must download the application from the official Nacon website. Once installed, it allows us to configure up to 4 profiles. Among them we can see the profiles of the remote control: direct accessories, sensitivity, joystick configuration, response curve, button configuration and macros.

Experience and final words about the Nacon GC-400ES

It is the first time that we have tested such a powerful controller. The Nacon GC-400ES for its very special design serves as a keyboard, mouse and gamepad for extreme players. With it we have been able to play games like LoL (a totally rewarding experience after several hours), Counter Strike CS: GO, Overwatch or the most popular classic sports games such as Fifa 2017 and NBA 2K17.

Its software allows us any modification and customization, from adjusting the buttons such as the sensitivity of the joystick. It is a joy… We also liked its classic mode or "Pro Gamer".

Without a doubt, the Nacon GC-400ES is the definitive gamepad that has been designed with the highest quality and with the aim of adapting to the needs of all users and all genres of video games, the next champions will surely be forged with it.
