What was a rumor, it was taking more and more body until it has finally become a reality: Netflix has raised the rates of its standard and premium plans and the new prices will take effect soon. But rest assured, you are not going to ruin yourself.

Netflix on their prices, for the minimum

Next October 20 marks the second anniversary of Netflix's landing in Spain. Since then, the audiovisual landscape has changed a lot. A year later, HBO and, more timidly, Amazon Prime Video arrived. Meanwhile, Movistar seems to be getting the batteries now (his "great" idea has been the continuation of the "Velvet" series) and other more traditional services, such as Wuaki / Rakuten or Filmin, surviving him not quite how. Netflix's big secret was the combination of quantity and quality on the one hand, and low price on the other, in addition to other additional advantages. But now the streaming giant, which started by bringing rental movies to American homes, has decided to raise its prices.

But as you can see, despite the commotion that has been mounted (partly from too committed media with some of its competitors), it is not so bad. Netflix has kept the basic plan as is, while the upload is only one euro per month for the Standard plan (which offers HD content and up to two simultaneous screens) and two euros per month for the Premium plan (which offers Ultra HD content). and up to four simultaneous screens).

The company has justified it arguing that the volume of the catalog in Spain has grown by 195% and that throughout this time it has introduced numerous improvements at the level of use such as offline content download on smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Personally I think that the justifications, although they must be given, are superfluous. I've been on Netflix from day one, it keeps uploading new content. Some I like, others I love and others I will never see them but in any case, I always find something that I like and I see it when I want and how I want. On the other hand, considering that Netflix allows shared accounts… It's clear, right? Incidentally, the price increase will be effective from November.
