Nintendo nx could be a tablet-shaped console

A new rumor about the Nintendo NX affirms that the new Nintendo game console will be fundamentally a tablet oriented to video games and with two detachable controls that can be attached to both sides to provide physical controls that increase the possibilities in games.

According to this new information, the Nintendo NX will be able to function as a portable console and as a traditional unit, as it can be connected to a television to enjoy games on a large screen. The detachable control knobs are focused to allow a very versatile equipment that can be used as a portable console and desktop unit.

Now entering its specifications, the Nintendo NX will use an advanced Nvidia Tegra processor to display great energy efficiency that allows a very compact and powerful device. However, the use of a Tegra chip would clearly place it behind PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio when it comes to performance, no surprise since Nintendo has not focused on offering a graphical pointing device for a long time.

The information continues to point out that Nintendo NX will work with cartridges of a maximum of 32 GB of capacity for games. Due to its new architecture and the presence of a new operating system, the new Japanese console would not be backward compatible with Wii and WiiU unless Nintendo manages to develop an emulator capable of running games correctly.

Nintendo NX could be announced in September although it will not go on sale until March 2017.
