Nintendo wii and gamecube will arrive at the nvidia shield

Nvidia has officially confirmed that several Wii and Gamecube games will be available for your enjoyment on the Nvidia Shield console, although for now it will only be in China but it is a first step so that they end up reaching all users.

Nvidia Shield receives Wii and Gamecube games

Some of the games that will come to the Nvidia Shield are New Super Mario Bros Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Punch-Out, all of them will run at 1080p resolution so we can expect a fairly high graphic quality. Other titles such as Super Mario Galaxy will be added in the future.

Nintendo and Nvidia have been working together for quite some time, not surprisingly the Nintendo Switch uses an Nvidia Tegra X1 SoC inside. There is also talk of the possibility that several of the Wii and Gamecube games will hit the Nintendo Switch in the future.

For many Chinese users this will be the first time that they can enjoy these games that will reach the Nvidia Shield without having to resort to importing. Hopefully over time the initiative will spread to the rest of the territories.
