Panasonic announced the successor to the GX8, the Lumix line, and is committed to attracting consumers with quality and value. The Panasonic GX85 has a sleek design and also features Micro Four Thirds technology (i.e. without a mirror, as in DSLR cameras) and 4K movies, but it is smaller, more stable, and cheaper than its older sister.

Of course, these changes have their price and the difference in this case is in the megapixels in question. While GX8 offers 20.3 MP, the image resolution is GX85 16 MP. However, the number of megapixels that are in a sensor can generate that is decisive for the quality of the image and only one of the specifications that compose it.

The manufacturers' claims, including that the new camera has a 10% improvement in the definition of images from other cameras with the same 16 PM. Panasonic chose to remove the AA (Anti-Aliasing) filter, which maximizes the resolution of each image.

And the GX85 has much more to offer than its megapixels. The mirrorlens provide a dual stabilization system that protects the camera's lens and body and promises more security, and sharp images without using a tripod.

Its optical viewfinder covers 100% of the camera frame and there is even a retractable 3 "LCD screen, an excellent function to capture the most diverse angles. The GX85 has built in Wi-Fi and is a great option for capture.

The camera has no forecast of arrival in Latin American countries, but it is already in pre-sale in the United States and should be in stores in May this year. The 12-32mm f / 3.5-5.6 kit lens has a cost of about 800 euros. In comparison, only the body of the GX8 can be found for around 1, 000 euros in some online stores.
