XFX has released, for the moment only for the Asian market, a new RX 460 graphics card with passive cooling, so it does not have fans and it is only cooled with copper and aluminum plates.

This is the XFX RX 460 with passive cooling

Recall that in our tests of the Sapphire RX 460 Nitro, this graphics card reached a maximum temperature of 75 degrees, so it was not a graphic that got too hot, this gives AMD and the assemblers to launch passive versions no problems with the heat generated.

This particular version, which can be seen in images, operates with a maximum temperature of 62 degrees operating at full capacity, a great engineering feat that is cooler than with air dissipation such as those currently being marketed..

It will work with a maximum temperature of 62 degrees

At the moment of writing these paragraphs, we don't know when this solution can reach the West but it is very possible that other major manufacturers will launch a corresponding similar version in the coming months. For now, this model works without additional power connection and is only powered by the PCI-Express slot that offers a maximum 75W. It is certainly not a model to go overclocking but it is intended for HTPC equipment or low-power mini-PCs.

We will be attentive to this graphic of XFX or similar models from other manufacturers.
