New screenshots have been leaked from the Xiaomi Redmi 2S that will arrive to replace its successful predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
Seeing their fronts we observe that both smartphones have a traced design with the only appreciable difference in the design of the buttons, the new Xiaomi Redmi 2S has a more updated design and that corresponds to the latest version of Android, known as Lollipop. Therefore we can expect Xiaomi to update the new Redmi 2S to the latest version of Google's operating system.
When looking at the back we see that the new Redmi 2S has the LED flash on the left side of the camera and not below it, as happened in the Redmi 1S. We also appreciate that the new Redmi 2S has the speaker located to the right of the camera.
Focusing on its specifications, the new Xiaomi Redmi 2S is built with a 4.7-inch IPS screen that is brought to life by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and consisting of 4 Cortex A7 cores and the Adreno 306 GPU. The set is complete with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, 2200 mAh battery, 4G LTE, 8-megapixel main camera and 2 MP front.
It will arrive with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system waiting for it to be updated to Lollipop.
