AMD plans to give a boost to its already veteran FM2 + platform with the launch of the new A10-7890K and A8-7690K APUs and a new Athlon X4 880K processor, all based on the Steamroller microarchitecture and belonging to the Godavari family.
The A10 7890K includes four steamroller cores at a base frequency of 4.1 GHz while its turbo frequency is unknown, while the A8 7690K also offers four cores but at a base frequency of 3.7 Ghz. No details about its iGPU have been mentioned.
Finally, the Athlon X4 880K is also a quad- core processor with a base frequency of 4 GHz, although iGPU is not included in this case.
All three chips have the multiplier unlocked to facilitate overclocking.
