Nvidia Announces New Geforce 441.20 Whql Drivers

Nvidia announces its new GeForce 441.20 WHQL graphics drivers to support Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, making it "Game Ready" for release on November 15. In addition, the controller brings optimizations for the Stormland game on Oculus VR headsets.

Includes support for the CUDA 10.2 API. The list of G-Sync compatible monitors has been expanded with three more screens. Among the issues addressed with this release are geometry corruption on GTX 900 series "Maxwell" GPUs with "Red Dead Redemption" on Vulkan; G-Sync is disabled when V-Sync is disabled in "Red Dead Redemption". Bugs related to Vulkan with "The Surge" have also been fixed. Fixed a bug in "Quake 3 Arena " that made the image blur when the color depth was set to 16 bits.

New monitors compatible with G-SYNC

The list of G-SYNC compatible displays grows to almost 60 options with the addition of the Acer XB273U, Acer XV273U and ASUS VG259Q monitors.

Error correction

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 - Corruption that occurred in geometries on some Maxwell GPUs has been fixed. Red Dead Redemption 2: G-SYNC is no longer disabled when V-Sync is disabled in-game. The Surge 2: Fixed VULKAN_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST when using driver version 440.97. Quake 3 Arena - In-game colors will not fade when set to 16-bit color. HDR: HDR black levels are no longer gray on the LG OLED55C9. CS: GO: Game will no longer experience performance drops in certain cases with limited CPUs

Fixed issues in Windows 10

  • Red Dead Redemption 2: The benchmark can crash while running in Vulkan mode with SLI enabled and using Ultra graphics settings. Forza Horizon 4: Low Streaming bandwidth error may occur after playing for a long time. Forza Motorsport 7 - The game begins offering stutter after running a few laps. Gears 5: Random stability issues may occur. Grand Theft Auto V - Game crashes frequently. NVIDIA is working with Rockstar to resolve the issue.
