Not knowing clearly if the new graphics cards would arrive, now it is official: the new generation is here and the NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 has been presented at the #BeForTheGame event of NVIDIA, along with its sisters 2080 Ti and 2070 , and we already have its official specifications and relevant characteristics.

These graphics are powered by the new NVIDIA Turing architecture and RTX platform, which brings the power of real-time Ray Tracing and artificial intelligence to games. The key to the Turing architecture is that, although technology could be used with current graphics, NVIDIA will be the first to achieve good performance in consumer graphics thanks to dedicated hardware . The new RTX 2080 has 2944 CUDA cores, an 8GB VRAM just like its predecessor but with GDDR6 memories at a frequency of 14Gbps and a maximum bandwidth of 448GB / s. Speculation about the increase in consumption has been confirmed, going from a power announced by NVIDIA from 180W to 225W.

Speaking of which, the leak is also confirmed that it will use a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector for power.

What was said was that " the RTX 2070 is faster than the Titan Xp" , but we do not know what it was based on, if only on this RTX-OPS data or on the overall performance of the graphics card.
