Nvidia has released a lot of news in the last few hours regarding the new generation of GPUs for the professional sector with Quadro RTX graphics cards, but they have also released a brief introduction of what will be the next generation GeForce RTX.

Nvidia presents a short video about its new generation of GeForce RTX graphics

If there is one thing that has become clear with the Quadro RTX presentation, it is that the next GeForce will use the RTX nomenclature in their next models of graphics cards dedicated to gamers.

Nvidia will be presented at the Gamescom in Germany, on August 20, to present their new generation of GeForce graphics cards there, they give it to understand with a short video, inviting all players to stay tuned to the event they are going to have there in exclusive.

In the video that can be seen, the GPU that the person takes out of the box appears to be a standard Pascal graphics card and the GPU in the case appears to be a TITAN. The real 'chicha' occurs in the final moments where flashes and snippets of the next design are shown, ending in a statement calling all players to Cologne at Gamescom.

At the moment it seems that there are two things confirmed so far: The GeForce RTX 2080/2070 (or whatever they are called) will use the Turing architecture and the naming scheme of the cards (at least some of them) will be RTX. The idea is that the next GeForce have some type of optimization to accelerate the use of Ray-Tracing, although not to the level that a Quadro RTX can do. We could also see GTX and RTX models subsisting at the same time, but these are just guesswork. We'll know for sure on August 20, when Nvida's new graphics cards finally see the light.
