Nvidia Releases Its Geforce 397.31 Whql Drivers

Drivers are very important for graphics cards to work in the best possible way with the newest games coming to the market, therefore, with each major release, both Nvidia and AMD rush to offer a new version of drivers to their users. In the case of Nvidia, it has announced the release of the GeForce 397.31 WHQL for all users of its cards.

New Nvidia GeForce 397.31 WHQL Drivers Now Available Adding RTX Support

The new Nvidia GeForce 397.31 WHQL drivers have the characteristic of being the version that abandons the regular support for graphics cards based on the Fermi architecture, manufactured at 40 nm and which is already clearly obsolete.

Of course, this is not the only feature, as these drivers also add official support for Nvidia RTX real-time raytracing technology. To use it, you will need a GPU based on the Volta architecture, that is, the 3000 Euro GeForce Titan V, in addition to the latest version of Windows 10 and the Microsoft DXR developer package. These new drivers also add support for Vulkan 1.1.
