If Nvidia announced its impressive Tesla K80 professional card a few days ago, it now shows that it also cares about professionals on a much tighter budget. The NVIDIA Quadro M2000 is the new mid-range card aimed at the professional sector.

NVIDIA Quadro M2000, mid-range for the professional sector

The NVIDIA Quadro M2000 is nothing more than a GeForce GTX 950 optimized for professional use with a computing power of 1.8 TFLOPs. The card is based on a Nvidia GM206 GPU with second generation Maxwell architecture and a total of 768 CUDA Cores. Alongside the GPU we find 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit interface and a bandwidth of 106 GB / s. The NVIDIA Quadro M2000 requires no extra power connector thanks to its low 75W TDP. As for the video outputs, it has four DisplayPort 1.2 with support for resolutions up to 8K.

A decent specification for a card that comes to succeed the Quadro K220 with 640 CUDA Cores. It will arrive for a price of 569 euros.

It is certainly not the card you are looking for to play the latest video games, for that we recommend reading our guide What graphic card do I buy? TOP 5 by ranges.
