Origem HS-3 technical characteristics
Unboxing
We start with the presentation of these Origem HS-3 headphones, which is as elegant and well-crafted as its own design. And it is that the manufacturer has used a rigid and solid cardboard box of type case of supreme elegance and quality. Its lid remains closed thanks to an internal magnet, and features a silkscreen on its main face with a photo of the team.
When we open the box, we have a distribution quite similar to what is done with the Smartphone. The headphones are completely secured in a mold of high-density polyethylene foam, leaving its cable in the lower area safely. Right next to it, we have the rest of the elements, which will be the following:
- Origem HS-3 Headphones USB Cable - Micro USB for charging Set of 4 pairs of ear pads Case to store equipment
All this perfectly tucked inside multiple caton and plastic cases so that nothing is damaged during transport or a fall.
Design
These Origem HS-3 wireless headphones offer us an in-ear type design with a remarkable inward curvature so that it adapts in the best possible way to the ear. In this sense, they are very similar to the design of the Razer Hammerhead range, although in this case we have a much larger crown to be able to house the small battery that gives life to these helmets.
They offer a weight of approximately 30 grams both headphones and the cable that connects them, so it is not bad considering that they are not exactly small. This is largely due to the fact that the entire case is constructed of aluminum, offering a comfortable grip to remove and put on. A very interesting point is that it offers IPX5 water protection, which is the ability to withstand direct jets of water.
But it is not all, since we have metal locks with a rubber coating to offer a better fit to the ear. With this size of crown it has been almost mandatory to put these locks, and the truth is that they are really comfortable and it is almost not noticeable when wearing them. It allows a small turn both towards closing and opening.
We have no less than 4 sets of rubber pads for different ear diameters, in my particular case I have used the smallest ones for better comfort. Maybe we miss some COMPLY pads, which fit better to our ears and also offer a little less heat after a few hours of use.
In this case these Origem HS-3 are linked by a cable of approximately 60 cm long, and are not independent, such as the Xiaomi Airdots Pro. This is not a big problem, in fact, to play sports it may be an advantage to have them securely fastened with the cable, they are also more affordable than many similar models.
We now turn to see the controls area that is located very close to the right earpiece so that it stays close to our faces. In this way we can have easy access to the three buttons that it incorporates and the microphone. Remember that its main use is with a Smartphone, so the micro and the controls are necessary, in fact, we have enough possibilities of interaction with these three buttons:
- Button "+": we can increase volume or go to the next song (pressed 2s) Button "-": decrease volume or previous song (2s pressed) Center button: with a press we take the call or pause / play the song. With two keystrokes we activate the voice assistant. With three, we activate Bluetooth pairing. And then depending on the time we keep the button pressed, we will start the equipment (2s) or turn it off (4s).
At the top of this small aluminum panel, we have the Micro USB connector to charge the Origem HS-3. It is protected by a rubber, so there is no problem when it comes to dirt. We only need a 30 minute charge cycle to have its full battery, which will last us approximately 6 hours if we stay close to the terminal.
We finish the design section with the case included in these Origem HS-3. It is a hard shell case made of hard plastic and covered on the outside by synthetic leather, and on the inside with lightly padded fabric. In my opinion it offers a great quality and security feeling, very elegant and with its zipper to store our headphones. Great work of the brand in this regard.
Drivers, connectivity and sound experience
We leave the exterior design behind, we fully enter the technical sheet, explaining its most interesting characteristics and knowing a little more about what these Origem HS-3 can offer us.
And the first thing we are going to comment on is its ability to establish voice control with these headphones thanks to the microphones it incorporates. We can propose a total of 7 indications, of course in English with a fairly good pronunciation. We can control the music, as well as take or reject calls. In addition, it is compatible with Google Assistant and Siri, the main voice control systems of the Smartphone, so we can extend its capacity much further than these 7 simple commands.
The manufacturer does not offer much information about the speakers that this device has installed, only that its response frequency is between 20 Hz to 20, 000 Hz. Nothing about sensitivity or impedance, although I already warn you that its volume is quite good, and especially its great balance between treble, mid and bass, although the latter predominate a little more to give more depth. And it is the first system of wireless headphones that offers us sound in HDR Audio quality, and it certainly shows, because its quality is magnificent.
We know absolutely nothing about the performance of your microphone, but we are sure that it is unidirectional and that, at least the one on the other side of the phone, listens to us perfectly, for that we have tested it. The not too nice lady behind the voice assistant also listens perfectly to us with our B1 level English, so we won't have too much trouble with her.
For its connectivity it uses only Bluetooth 5.0, without the possibility of connecting it by cable to any other device for the sole purpose of charging. So this reduces its compatibility to devices compatible with this communication standard. The manufacturer ensures a coverage of 10 meters, but I can assure you that in free spaces and without walls of much more. These 10 meters are already reached indoors, and outdoors I have reached approximately 30 m.
It operates in a frequency range between 2.40 and 2.48 GHz with a sensitivity of -92 dBm. The transmission is class II and supports the APTX, AAC and SBC audio codecs, along with the A2DP, HFP, HSP and AVRCP profiles. Finally, its battery offers about 6 hours of autonomy as long as we are close to the transmitter, since the further away we go, the more battery the Origem HS-3 will consume.
Final words and conclusion about Origem HS-3
Personally, I liked these Origem HS-3 quite a lot both for their original sporty design, and for their great comfort while wearing them. Although they are relatively bulky, they weigh almost nothing and the insurance that holds them to the ear keep them perfectly in place. Of course, over time they will loosen so we will need to tighten their screw frequently.
Its sound quality has really surprised us a lot. Although they are wireless and at a very low cost, they have quite deep bass, ideal for listening to music. The balance with the other frequencies is very good, and thanks to HDR Audio the drivers adapt to the range of frequencies that are reproduced to always offer the highest possible quality. In addition, they isolate enough from the outside sound and bring their own case to store them.

In terms of autonomy, I have been quite happy with them, since at least 5 and a half hours can be perfectly spent with them, and the charge is quite fast. Obviously everything will depend on the volume level that you put and how far the transmitter is. And one of its forts is the great coverage they have, with 10 m with walls in between, and about 30 m with clear terrain.
Then we have interesting options such as its voice control compatible with Google Assistant and Siri for Android or iOS, which comes from a fable. The keypad is quite well located, although with voice commands, we hardly have to use it. This Origem HS-3 will be available for an official price of 88.85 euros, although they are somewhat more expensive on Amazon. Pay attention to the offers because their price tends to drop to 50 euros quite frequently.
